The Atacama cap comes with a packable triple-fold peak design. The zip-away legionnaire’s flap protects your neck from the sun, while quick drying midge and mosquito-repellent supplex Nylon fabric keeps the bugs away.
When the weather is brighter and drier we choose the Atacama cap – a lightweight peaked cap with a zip-away legionnaire’s flap and UV protection. The polyamide supplex outer and mesh lining is highly breathable in hot weather, and a wicking brow band on the inside helps to keep perspiration at bay. Highly packable, the baseball-style cap has a 7cm triple-fold peak that is easily stowed away when not needed to keep the sun from your eyes. There’s also a midge and mosquito-repellent outer fabric that keeps biting insects away in warmer climates.

MOSQUITO REPELLENT

Our technical headwear uses our DEET-based insect-repellent treatment on the outer fabric, protecting against biting insects such as mosquitoes and midges that may carry harmful diseases like Malaria. The Advisory Committee for Malaria Prevention in Travellers recommends DEET-based insect repellents as offering the most effective protection. Our treatment is guaranteed for at least five washes.
