Steel construction of Gerber multitool

Gerber Suspension is a 108mm multitool made entirely of steel. The skeletonized design of the arms reduces the weight of the tool and gives it a modern style. Stainless steel is resistant to corrosion, atmospheric agents and contaminants therefore Gerber Suspension can work in any conditions.

The manufacturer has abandoned the use of lightweight aluminum, so the tool is durable and safely withstands the heavy loads generated during undermining, tightening and cutting. The multitool has a classic butterfly design, which means that you access the tools after unfolding the arms.

Spring-loaded pliers in the Suspension NXT multitool

The main tool of the multitool are spring-loaded pliers with narrow ends (needle nose), which are best suited for precision work. Thanks to the spring-loaded design, the pliers can be comfortably operated with one hand, as the jaws open spontaneously when pressure is released.

Within the pliers there is a wire and cable cutter, a serrated notch, and cross cutters that improve the grip of the object.

A combo blade for easy cutting of cables

The multitool uses a partially serrated blade, known as a “combo“, thus increasing the functionality and usability of the tool. The serrated surface will work best when cutting hard and fibrous materials such as ropes, tapes and belts.

Tool lock

The multitool features an automatic locking mechanism that prevents all tools from being folded during use. The lock sliders have been conveniently located so that we can operate with our thumb.
