Overboots protect feet from frost. Boots are often in the snow all day, which sticks to the toe and tongue, and therefore feet freeze quickly. Overboots are made of strong softshell, which strengthens the outer insulation of the boots and protects against water, so the boots are more protected from external influences. The Velcro fastening ensures that the covers are suitable for multiple shoe sizes (mountain boots, ski boots, etc.). Controlling all elements is easy, so that it is possible even with gloves. Thanks to these covers, it is possible to use the same boots in the Alps and in mountains above 6000 m.a.s.l. Tested in the Himalayas.
Overboots have been successfully tested on Mera Peak (6,476 m), Mount McKinley (6,190 m) and also at low temperatures in the Alps.

Why use overboots rather than rental boots? Every hiker and climber knows that quality and well-worn boots are the basis for good performance. On the other hand, unworn, uncomfortable boots can cause failure or premature termination of an expedition. That is why everyone likes the shoes they are used to and does not want to change them. Especially mountain boots do not break in in one day and renting boots for climbing can be a big risk that they will not fit your foot, causing blisters and pressure sores and therefore pain. In addition, you need to remember that the goal is not the summit, but the return, and that may take several more days of walking. That is why we have come up with overboots that increase the thermal comfort of regular mountain boots and thanks to this you can use the same boots in lower temperatures than usual.
